Many people believe that life jackets, life preservers, and water ski vests are hot and bulky, not to mention ugly.
This is no longer necessarily true. Newer life jackets and water ski vests look better, feel better, and provide increased protection.
Life jackets, life preservers, and water ski vests are required in most states and must be present on all boats traveling on waters
navigated by the U.S. Coast Guard. When selecting a life jacket or ski vest, be sure it is U.S. Coast Guard (USGA) approved.
Always remember that children need life jackets when on a boat or close to bodies of water. They should understand how to put
his or her life jacket on. Be sure to select the right size water ski vest or life jacket for your child, it should not be too loose.
